What is a goat hair brush used for?
A goat hair brush is used for the gentle care of babies' and toddlers' sensitive scalps. The particularly soft natural bristles made of goat hair gently massage the scalp, promote blood circulation, and help to gently brush fine baby hair.

From what age can the goat hair brush be used?
The brush is ideal from birth. It can be used even for newborns, as the soft goat hair does not irritate the sensitive scalp.

What are the advantages of a goat hair brush over a plastic brush?
Goat hair brushes are natural, anti-static, and particularly soft. They prevent hair breakage and do not electrically charge the hair. Unlike synthetic bristles, they are free of plastics and microplastics.

How do I clean the goat hair brush correctly?

The brush should be cleaned regularly:

  • Remove loose hairs and dirt with a fine comb or your fingers.
  • Occasionally clean the bristles with a mild baby shampoo and lukewarm water.
  • Then let it air dry with the bristles facing downwards.
  • Caution: Please do not soak in water, as the wood may swell.

Is the brush suitable for babies with cradle cap?
Yes, but only for gentle care after soaking the cradle cap (e.g., with some baby oil). The brush helps to carefully remove loosened flakes without irritating the skin.

What materials is the goat hair brush made of?

The bristles of the brush are made of soft goat hair. The handle is made of wood.

Is the goat hair brush vegan?

No. Since it is made from real goat hair, it is not vegan, but it is produced in an animal-friendly way – the hair is obtained by shearing without harming the animals.

How long does a goat hair brush last?
With proper care, a goat hair brush can be used for several years. However, it should be replaced if the bristles fall out heavily or become discolored.

Can I also use the brush for adults?

Yes, the brush is also suitable for sensitive adult scalps, for example, with thin hair or sensitive skin. However, due to its handy size of approx. 3 x 4 x 15 cm (H x W x L), it is primarily suitable for babies and toddlers.

Until when should a baby hairbrush be used?
A baby hairbrush can be used as long as the child has fine, sensitive hair and a sensitive scalp – usually until around the age of 3.
Many parents, however, also use the brush beyond this age, as it gently detangles the hair and cares for the scalp without pulling. As soon as the hair becomes stronger and denser, you can gradually switch to a children's hairbrush with firmer natural bristles, e.g., our horsehair brush.
