Baby Warmer, Owl

Our baby warmer is placed on your baby's stomach, chest or feet and provides up to 5 hours of pleasant warmth when you're on the go. The cuddly soft pillow cover made of 100% organic cotton is approx. 9.5 x 11 cm in size and is therefore ideal for babies. The envelope closure is on the front of the cover so that the pillow can snuggle up to your baby without pressing. A disposable heat pad is inserted into it, which provides cozy extra warmth in the stroller or baby carrier - ideal in cold temperatures to keep the feet or body warm.

The filling of the heat pads contains iron powder and activated carbon, among other things. This means that the disposable heat pads heat themselves up within a few minutes when they come into contact with oxygen. The natural filling is 100% compostable*. Our heat pads therefore offer a natural and ecological alternative to similar products.

Application

When the temperatures drop, the little ones are wrapped up in thick jackets or snowsuits. But be careful: babies should not be strapped in with a thick jacket, especially in the car seat, as this can be dangerous. In such situations, our baby warmer provides cozy warmth in the stroller or baby seat.

Instructions for use:

Step 1:

The GRÜNSPECHT hand warmers for single use are activated by contact with oxygen and heat up automatically within 15 minutes. To do this, remove the warmers from the foil bags (see picture 1) and knead well. ATTENTION: Please check the heat pads before use. Do not use if the contents of the heat cell are leaking and/or the heat pad is damaged or torn.

Step 2:

Place the heat pad in the enclosed GRÜNSPECHT organic pillow cover in the pocket (opening: see picture 2) as soon as a noticeable warmth has developed after a few minutes of waiting. The heat pad is pushed completely under the first layer of fabric (like a pillowcase) so that the warmer is fixed in the inner pocket.

Step 3:

Remove any baby jewelry (e.g. necklaces) before use. Now place the pillow next to your child, on the stomach, chest or feet, over a thin layer of clothing and always with the enclosed pillow cover. After waiting for around 15 minutes, a pleasant warmth will have developed. ATTENTION: Do not use the baby warmer directly on the skin to avoid excessive heat development. If the temperature on the crook of your arm feels comfortable, the temperature is also right for your child (max. 43 °C). If the heat development is insufficient, bring the warmer into contact with oxygen again. The baby warmer can be used as long as the warmth is felt to be comfortable. We recommend that you do not wear the heat pad on your body for more than 5 hours at a time. If you notice slight redness of the skin on your child's body, this is due to the warming effect of the heat pad. If the skin is still red after a few hours, do not use a heat pad until the redness has completely subsided. The organic pillow cover made of 100% cotton (kbA) is reusable and washable. Care instructions:

• The organic pillow cover made of 100% cotton (kbA) is machine washable at 30 °C without the internal heat pad.
• ATTENTION! Please remove the heat pad from the pillow cover before washing and observe the care symbols on the product.
• Please store the packaged hand warmers in a cool, dry place, away from children, pets, moisture and direct sunlight.
• In the closed foil bag, the hand warmers are stable until the expiration date indicated on the back of the foil bag.

Disposal:

The GRÜNSPECHT hand warmers are intended for single use only. After use, they can be disposed of easily and in an environmentally friendly manner. Instead of the sodium chloride salt contained in many disposable body warmers, the GRÜNSPECHT “Natural Hand Warmers” contain potassium chloride, which
is also used in plant fertilizers. Potassium serves as a plant nutrient, which is why the hand warmer filling can be disposed of in organic waste or compost after use and cooling.
ATTENTION! Allow the hand warmers to cool down completely (up to 48 hours) before disposal to avoid ignition or burning. The heat pad cover becomes slightly permeable after cooling, which is why small particles of the heat pad filling can escape. Please dispose of the
Apply heat pad as soon as possible after cooling down.
Once they have cooled down completely, knead the warmers with your hand. Then carefully open them at the narrow edge with scissors and empty the contents into the organic waste or compost.
ATTENTION! When disposing of the plaster contents, make sure to avoid direct mucous membrane contact with the plaster filling – in case of contact, follow the safety instructions.
