Our natural heat patches provide soothing warmth for up to 12 hours without any additional energy sources such as electricity. Thanks to their long-lasting, even heat, the heat patches are ideal for relaxation or when you feel cold, whether at home or outdoors on the go. Thanks to their size of approx. 13 x 10 cm, they can be used flexibly and adapt perfectly to different parts of the body, for example the back, shoulders, neck, stomach, arms or legs. Since our heat pads are stuck to close-fitting clothing (e.g. a tight-fitting T-shirt), the adhesive surface does not come into direct contact with the skin - perfect for sensitive skin!
No complicated activation or charging necessary: The filling of our disposable heat patches contains iron powder and activated carbon, among other things. This means that they heat themselves up within a few minutes when they come into contact with oxygen. The natural filling, free of pharmaceutical ingredients, is 100% compostable*. Our heat pads therefore offer a natural and ecological alternative to conventional heat patches.

Application

Sitting in the office for long periods in the same position, physical work, but also leisure activities such as gardening mean that you long for relaxation, especially in the back and neck area. The warmth of our natural heat patch provides this for up to 12 hours. The heat pads are also perfect for activities in autumn and winter where you spend a lot of time outdoors or simply for those with frostbites who can never get warm enough!

Our natural heat patches are suitable:
– to relax the back, shoulder, neck and stomach area
– for relaxation during menstruation.
– to warm up when you feel cold at home or on the go
– for outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing, cycling, camping, shoveling snow, photography, hunting, horseback riding, visiting Christmas markets and much more

Our natural heat patches are suitable for children aged 12 and over.

Ingredients: iron powder, water, vermiculite, activated carbon, salt (potassium chloride).

Disposal instructions:

The heat patch is intended for single use only. After use, the GRÜNSPECHT “Natural Heat Patch” can be disposed of easily and in an environmentally friendly manner. Instead of the sodium chloride salt contained in many heat patches, the GRÜNSPECHT “Natural Heat Patch” contains potassium chloride, which is also used in plant fertilizers. Potassium serves as a plant nutrient, which is why the patch filling can be disposed of in organic waste or compost after use and cooling.

Attention! Before disposal, leave the heat patch uncovered and allow it to cool down completely - this can take up to 48 hours depending on the outside temperature. Emptying the patch too early while it is still hot can cause damage (risk of ignition and burns!)

Once the patch has completely cooled, knead it with your hand so that the patch contents split into small pieces. Then carefully open the patch at the narrow edge with scissors and empty the contents into your organic waste or compost.

Attention! When disposing of the plaster contents, make sure to avoid direct mucous membrane contact with the plaster filling – in the event of contact, follow the safety instructions under the “Safety Instructions” tab.

We recommend using one patch content per 10 liters of compost or organic waste to ensure sufficient dilution. When used in home compost, the amount of heat patches disposed of over a longer period of time should be a maximum of four patches per month (according to a study by the Fraunhofer Institute for Molecular Biology and Applied Ecology, 2019). Do not use the patch content on ornamental plants. Only the outer cover of the patch, the release paper and the oxygen-tight packaging should be disposed of separately in household waste and fed into the appropriate recycling system. Please observe the regional disposal guidelines.
