Product description

Description

Our natural heat plasters provide soothing warmth for up to 12 hours without the need for additional energy sources such as electricity. Thanks to the long-lasting, even heat, the heat patches are ideal for relaxation or when you feel cold, whether at home or outdoors. Thanks to the size of approx. 13 x 10 cm, they can be used flexibly and adapt ideally to different parts of the body, for example the back, shoulders, neck, stomach, arms or legs. As our heat pads are stuck to clothing close to the body (e.g. tight-fitting T-shirt), the adhesive surface does not come into direct contact with the skin – perfect for sensitive skin!
No time-consuming activation or charging necessary: The filling of our disposable heat patches contains, among other things, iron powder and activated charcoal. As a result, they heat themselves within a few minutes on contact with oxygen. The natural filling, free of active pharmaceutical ingredients, is 100% compostable*. Thus, with our heat pads, we offer a natural and ecological alternative to conventional heat patches.

Application

Sitting in the office for long periods in the same posture, physical work, but also leisure activities such as gardening make you long for relaxation, especially in the back & neck area. The warmth of our Natural heat plaster provides this for up to 12 hours. The heat pads are also perfect for autumn and winter activities where you spend a lot of time outdoors or simply if it can never be warm enough for you!

Our Natural heat plasters are suitable:
– for relaxation of the back, shoulder, neck & abdomen area
– for relaxation during menstruation
– to warm up when feeling cold at home or on the go
– for outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing, cycling, camping, snow shovelling, photography, hunting, horse riding, visiting Christmas markets and much more.

Our natural heat patches are suitable for ages 12 and up.

Usage Instructions:

Step 1: Open the foil bag at the perforation by hand in order to remove the heat plaster. The heat plaster is activated through contact with air and it will then heat up by itself – the bag should therefore only be opened when you want to use the heat plaster. When opening the bag, make sure that the plaster does not come into contact with moisture.

Step 2: Before use, check the heat plaster to make sure that it is intact. Do not use the product if the fi lling of the heating cell is leaking out and/or the plaster is damaged or cracked.

Step 3: Remove the backing paper from the adhesive side of the plaster.

Step 4: Attach the heat plaster with the adhesive side onto a piece of clothing which is close-fi tting and close to the body (e.g. cotton vest) onto the area of the body you want to treat. Make sure the plaster is smooth – there should not be any folds or ridges. It may take up to 15 minutes for the heating properties of the plaster to take effect. Wear the heat plaster for as long as you fi nd it pleasant. We recommend that you do not wear the plaster for more than 12 hours within a 24-hour period.

Material and care advice

Constituents: Iron powder, water, vermiculite, active carbon, salt (potassium chloride).

Information about Disposal:

The heat plaster is only intended to be used once. After use, you can dispose of the GRÜNSPECHT “Natural heat plaster”, easily and in an environmentally-friendly manner. In place of the sodium chloride salt used in many heat plasters, the GRÜNSPECHT “Natural heat plaster” contains potassium chloride, which
is also used in plant fertilisers. Potassium is a plant nutrient, which is why, after usage and cooling, the plaster filling can be disposed of in bio waste or compost.

Attention! Prior to disposal, leave the heat plaster uncovered and allow it to cool completely – this can take up to 48 hours, depending on the ambient temperature. If it is emptied too early, and the plaster filling is still hot, this can lead to injuries (risk of inflammation and burns!)

As soon as the plaster is completely cool, knead it with your hand, so that the plaster filling is broken into small pieces. Then carefully open the plaster on the narrow edge using scissors and empty the filling into your bio-waste or compost.

Attention! When disposing of the plaster filling, make sure that you avoid direct contact between the plaster filling and mucous membranes – if contact should occur, then follow the safety instructions under Point 5.

We recommend disposal of one plaster filling to 10 litres of compost or bio-waste, in order to ensure sufficient dilution. When using in household compost, the quantity of heat plasters to be disposed of over a longer period of time is a maximum of four plasters a month (in accordance with a study by the Frauenhofer Institute for Molecular Biology and Applied Ecology, 2019). Do not use the plaster filling for ornamental plants. Only the outside sleeve of the plaster, the backing paper and the airtight packaging must be separated by material type and disposed of in household waste and taken to the relevant recycling scheme. Please be aware of regional disposal guidelines.
